Artist Gary Denmark

Gary Denmark was born in Monterey, California, and currently lives and works in Santa Fe, New Mexico.

 

He received his BA in fine arts from San Diego State University, and then completed his Master of Fine Arts degree from the University of Wisconsin, Madison, specifically in the graphic arts. After graduating, he moved to San Francisco, where he pursued a varied art career as an instructor, visiting lecturer, and master printmaker.

 

Gary has maintained a studio practice since 1981 and is celebrating his third decade as an artist.

 

He has shown in numerous individual, two-person, and curated group exhibitions around the country. Gary’s abstract paintings and prints have been collected by many private and corporate collectors and museums, including the Boston Museum of Fine Arts, the Mint Museum, and the National Museum of American Art.
